The role
As a Commercial Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll play a vital role in ensuring Submarine availability by leading commercial activities. Your work will involve developing and implementing commercial strategies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to efficiently plan and execute maintenance periods for A-Class Submarines.
Day-to-day, you'll oversee and coordinate bid proposals, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely submission while collaborating with teams to align strategies and manage risks effectively.

* Offer strategic commercial support to meet quality and contractual standards.
* Oversee contract management, achieving milestones and addressing risks effectively.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies with project goals.
* Monitor industry trends to enhance commercial strategies and decision-making.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Commercial Specialist
* Extensive experience in commercial management, including contracts and project proposals.
* Proficiency in approval frameworks.
* Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills for achieving favourable outcomes.
* Proven adaptability to evolving project scopes and dynamic environments.
* Strategic thinker with a collaborative approach to driving successful project results.
Qualifications for the Commercial Specialist
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business, Law or Accountancy, but not essential.
* Professional memberships of WCC (World Commerce and Contracting).
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
