Your New Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will:
* Collaborate with tutors to provide a quality and beneficial experience for learners.
* Record and evaluate learner progress and achievement.
* Work across multiple sites with limited notice.
* Support learners in external work environments to help them progress towards independent work.
* Assist Tutors in resolving learner issues and concerns.
* Support learners with challenging behaviour and help develop strategies to overcome these issues.
* Prepare resources for sessions and assist learners during break times.
* Encourage learners to engage in enrichment activities.
* Ensure the safe and efficient arrival and departure of learners to/from college.
* Deliver personal care, promoting independence (e.g., assisting with showers, toileting, skin or hair care).
* Act as an effective role model, demonstrating best practices and professionalism.
* Adhere to and promote organisational policies, procedures, vision, and mission.
* Participate in the observation process for quality improvement in education provision.
* Undertake necessary training, including Team Teach.
* Attend internal meetings, briefings, and other forums as required.
* Comply with Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection policies.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
* Essential: Experience working with SEN students, ideally within a college environment
* Essential: Must have a full uk driving licence and own car as you may be based at multiple sites
* Level 2 Maths and English
* A commitment to supporting learners and helping them achieve their potential.
* Flexibility to work across different sites.
* Ability to handle challenging behaviour and develop effective strategies.
* Professionalism and adherence to organisational policies and procedures.
