The key responsibilities and duties of the Inspector include, but are not limited to:
1. Undertake and complete a detailed inspection of all components (with exception of components which require a quarantine process due to incident / accident.)
2. Creation and modification of component overhaul / Repair routes within SAP as required
3. Ensuring that all information (I.E. P/N, S/N and Condition) is recorded in the shop Repair Order and on LTLGS SAP system
4. Carry out accurate measurement of components where required due to workload
5. Work to Production priority lists – ASPEN, Milestone dates as provided by Production Control
6. Interface with Technical engineering, and other production departments where necessary
7. Other duties as directed by the Section Manager, Team Leader or Leading Hand
8. Train and mentor other team personnel within the role subject to your qualifications and experience
The ideal Inspector should meet the following requirements:
9. Aerospace apprenticeship would be desirable
10. Qualification in an engineering subject would be desirable
11. Experience within an Aerospace Engineering or equivalent environment
12. Previous mechanical component inspection background
13. Previous experience working within an SAP computer system would advantageous
14. Good knowledge of inspection techniques and equipment
15. Previous practical experience using imperial measurement tools such as Micrometres, callipers and precision measuring tools
16. Previous knowledge of manuals and Boeing websites
17. Shift work. Monday – Friday or Tuesday - Saturday
