Job Title: Quality Manager
Location: West Sussex
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Our client, a leading name in the food and drink industry, is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for ensuring that all quality standards are met and exceeded, from factory operations to external customer satisfaction. If you have a passion for quality, experience with chilled products, and a proven track record in team leadership, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
-Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the QA team to maintain high standards and ensure alignment with company goals.
-KPI Management: Drive key technical KPIs across factory operations, aiming for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
-Customer and Compliance Requirements: Ensure both internal and external customer quality requirements are consistently met and improved.
-HACCP Leadership: Lead the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) teams, ensuring that all processes meet rigorous food safety standards.
-Audit and Compliance: Oversee and lead all external audits, including BRC (British Retail Consortium) and major retailer audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
-Reporting and Deputising: Report directly to the Technical Manager and provide support as -needed, stepping in when required to maintain continuity and quality.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
-Proven experience in a similar Quality Manager role within the food industry.
-Demonstrable leadership experience, with a strong track record of managing and developing teams.
-Comprehensive understanding of BRC standards and retailer requirements.
Preferred:
Experience working with chilled product categories (though not essential).
