Our client, a well-established and highly regarded luxury care home, is seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional who takes pride in creating nutritious, delicious meals while making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults.
Working 40 hours per week across 4 days (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM), the Chef will play a key role in delivering high-quality, home-cooked meals that cater to residents' dietary needs and personal preferences. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a caring environment and enjoys preparing meals that bring comfort and joy.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Chef in a healthcare, hospitality, or similar setting.
* A passion for cooking with strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
* Understanding of nutrition and the ability to develop balanced menus that cater to a range of dietary needs, including allergies and cultural preferences.
* Excellent organisational skills – Able to manage kitchen operations efficiently while maintaining high standards.
* A strong team player – Someone who can lead, motivate, and support kitchen staff.
* Commitment to food safety and hygiene – Knowledge of food handling regulations and experience maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Menu Planning & Meal Preparation – Design and prepare appetising, nutritionally balanced meals that meet the needs of residents.
* Stock Management – Monitor food supplies, place orders, and maintain accurate inventory records.
* Food Safety & Hygiene – Ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served in line with health and safety regulations.
* Team Leadership – Supervise and support kitchen staff in food preparation and service.
* Kitchen Maintenance – Maintain cleanliness and organisation, including regular deep cleaning.
* Resident Engagement – Build positive relationships with residents and their families, responding to feedback and requests.
