Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shift Leader to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our childcare facility, providing leadership and support to staff while fostering a nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional communication and management skills.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and supervise a team of childcare staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
2. Manage daily operations, including scheduling, staff assignments, and resource allocation.
3. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
4. Drive initiatives that promote a positive and engaging atmosphere for both children and staff.
5. Oversee the planning and implementation of educational activities that align with early childhood development standards.
6. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery, adhering to health and safety regulations.
7. Provide training and support to new staff members, fostering their professional growth.
Requirements
1. Proven leadership experience in a childcare setting or similar environment.
2. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles.
3. Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and empathy.
4. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
6. A passion for nurturing children's development through engaging activities.
7. Relevant qualifications in childcare or early childhood education are desirable.
