About the role
This temporary role would help design and stock a comprehensive and accessible / user-friendly audiovisual library for the Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance. The library is an essential resource to help us to engage with our audiences and communicate our knowledge and messages. The Alliance is a multi-sectoral partnership focused on enhancing resilience to climate hazards in both rural and urban communities.
This role would be the ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or student to gain experience and participate in a range of knowledge management project activities within a leading international development organisation. We expect the work to be completed within 1-2 months depending on the hours agreed.
About you
We are looking for a passionate and committed individual, with strong research and communication skills, with a degree in a relevant subject and fluent in English (with knowledge of French, Spanish or Arabic an asset). We offer a vibrant team atmosphere with strong engagement across teams and offices.
Accountabilities
• Review and provide a summary of possible platforms or tools for hosting our existing audiovisual library
• Coordinate a review of the current metadata for the audiovisual library
• Build and then stock the new or updated library from Alliance country team assets – with relevant support from colleagues
Person Specification
• A demonstratable background or study in communication – preferably with a focus on knowledge management or photography / videography
• Knowledge of development sector and ethical considerations for managing content representing individuals
• Experience of Microsoft SharePoint is desirable
