Are you a strategic and experienced finance professional looking for a key leadership role in education? Oakwood Park Grammar School is seeking a Finance Director to oversee and lead the financial management of our school, ensuring financial sustainability and supporting the school’s continued growth and success.
About the Role
As Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
* Leading on all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practices in the education sector.
* Providing strategic financial guidance to the Headteacher and Governing Body.
* Managing payroll, procurement, and financial controls to ensure efficiency and value for money.
* Identifying and securing additional funding opportunities, including grants and income generation.
* Overseeing risk management and financial sustainability planning.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Is a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or has equivalent senior finance experience.
* Has strong leadership and strategic financial management skills.
* Has experience working in education, public sector, or a similarly regulated environment (desirable but not essential).
* Is proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in managing budgets and financial strategy.
* Can work effectively as part of the extended senior leadership team, contributing to the school’s overall success.
