Job Title: Product Definition Engineer - Combustion, Turbines & Exhaust
Working Pattern: Full Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Definition Engineer to join our Combustion, Turbines & Exhaust Engineering Team in Bristol supporting all mature engine programmes. Working in UK&I Combat and Adour Defence, we are looking to welcome a talented engineer into an established team, whose role will be to create component models and definition drawings in line with company practices to meet design intent, satisfying fit, form and function of the component whilst optimising for manufacture.
This will mean that the chosen individual will need to be capable of working with existing legacy and fleet drawings as well as working on new component definitions being created wholly in a digital format. Managing and maintaining data integrity is vital to this role so attention to detail is an important quality.
As a Product Definition Engineer, you will be influential during all stages of the design cycle (e.g. creating analysis models, producing tolerance stack-ups, creating the master model and producing the component definition), manufacture of the part (e.g. supporting Design For Manufacture activities and the manufacturing buy-off process), right through to supporting parts in-service (e.g. managing and incorporating Drawing Alteration Requests, supporting concession activities and supporting in-service investigation work). You will be providing input to planning activities and be prepared to deliver to challenging deadlines.
Although you will be working primarily on the Adour engine, when required, you may be supporting other engineers across our product portfolio. You will work closely with talented professionals from across the full engineering spectrum including those from other Rolls-Royce sites, as well as with external suppliers.
Working with Rolls-Royce, you'll be working with high performing individuals, teams & departments. Rolls-Royce is willing to put employees through additional training where required to further your knowledge & experience.

* Work as part of a multi-discipline team to ensure new and revised component definitions are fit for purpose (meets design intent, manufacturable etc.)
* Produce tolerance stack-ups to aid new product creation & validation and to support in-service investigation work.
* Actively promote, encourage and support the identification and implementation of continuous improvement (of tools, processes, methods and guidance material).
Who we're looking for:
