Description The full-time starting salary is normally £42,860.00 per annum, with progression available in post to £46,586.00 per annum. We embrace a practice-led, knowledge-based approach to our teaching, which is research-informed The Childhood, Youth and Community subject area within the College of Education and Social Work is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Childhood, Youth and Community for a 12 month fixed term contract to deliver on our suite of programmes. You will have significant experience of working in services with a commitment to either Early Childhood, Family Work, Youth and Community Work, Social Work or Education Studies, strong academic skills in organising and delivering learning and teaching, working with diverse communities, building local partnerships and be invested in the ethos and mission of BCU. This role will involve teaching (which includes assessment and marking of coursework) on a range of undergraduate programmes in the subject area, as well as providing pastoral and academic support to our students You will be working with a supportive and experienced team, who are all committed to children and young people, and the developing portfolio of the department. You must hold at least a first degree in a related subject and have previous experience of teaching in HE/FE.
