Are you ready to embark on a voyage with an award-winning freight and logistics company, and coordinate the import of something much more thrilling than just boxes? We're looking for an Ocean Import Coordinator who can sail the high seas (okay, more like deep sea, but you get the idea) and navigate the complexities of FCL & LCL shipments, all while importing one of the most beloved treasures of the world: books. 📖
Location: Chelmsford, Essex (where all the action happens, not to mention the best coffee!)
About Us:
We're a top-tier logistics company that doesn't just move cargo - we move ideas, stories, and knowledge. Our speciality? Importing books from around the globe via the good old ocean (and no, it's not as romantic as pirate ships, but close enough). We're award-winning for a reason: we know our logistics, and we love what we do. 🌍
Your Mission:
Coordinate and conquer the importation of books from every corner of the world (or at least from those sweet container ports).
Master the art of FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments- because who doesn't love a good logistical challenge?
Collaborate with an experienced crew of freight experts to make sure everything arrives on time and intact (because no one likes a soggy book).
Stay ahead of the game by ensuring all paperwork is spot-on, shipments clear customs without a hitch, and books are on their way to readers far and wide.
Be the go-to person for everything ocean import related, from pricing to problem-solving- you'll have it all covered. What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in ocean imports (bonus points if you've worked with books or something just as exciting).
Knowledge of FCL and LCL shipments (because we like people who get it).
Strong communication and organizational skills (we're looking for someone who can keep their cool, even when things get a little bookish).
A passion for logistics and a keen eye for detail (because shipping books isn't just a job, it's a mission to spread knowledge).
An ability to work in a fast-paced, award-winning team (you'll fit right in if you're as efficient as you are personable).Perks and Benefits:
Competitive salary (with the kind of benefits that make you feel like you're on a luxury cruise, without the seasickness).
Be part of an industry leader that celebrates innovation and teamwork.
Flexible working options (because sometimes you just want to read a book from your sofa).
Opportunities for career growth (we're big believers in growing our own talent). Why You'll Love It Here:
We're a friendly, forward-thinking team that values creativity and efficiency as much as we value our morning coffee. If you're a logistics pro with a love for literature, you might just find your dream job with us. 🌟
