Job summary Macklin Street Surgery are looking to recruit a Receptionist. This is a flexible working position hours to be discussed with the successful candidate. We are looking forward both part-time and full-time positions. The successful candidate must be flexible and be able to work as part of a team. Experience of working in a GP Surgery would be desirable not not essential. Full training will be given. Prior experience of working with SystmOne clinical system would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given, so a willingness and ability to learn quickly will be key to your success in this role. Main duties of the job The purpose of the role is to: Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, whether in person or via the telephone. Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice. Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.
