At the Transport Studies Unit (TSU) within the School of Geography and Environment (SoGE) of the University of Oxford, we are recruiting for two Research Assistant roles. One is oriented towards the use of qualitative research methods and the other is focused on quantitative methods and GIScience. The idea of both roles is that the post holders will work with, and support, ongoing research activities led by senior scholars within the TSU.
Both roles are full-time and fixed term for 24 months, with a starting date from April 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. At least some regular in-person presence in our office in Oxford will be expected (details can be negotiated). The successful candidates are expected to already have the right to work in the UK.
Equality, diversity, and inclusion are central to how we work at the TSU and the kinds of research we undertake. We particularly encourage applications from women, black and minority ethnic candidates as well as candidates with disabilities, all of whom are under-represented in posts at the TSU and SoGE, and in the wider transport research community.
The closing date for applications is Tuesday 11 February at 12 noon (UK time).
