Your Mission:
As the Senior Establishment Planning Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operational strategy—ensuring we always have the right people, in the right place, at the right time. Reporting to the Head of Operational Planning, you’ll lead a team of two Establishment Planning Managers and a group of subject matter experts, driving crew resourcing decisions that balance operational resilience with cost efficiency.
You’ll own easyJet’s annual establishment planning and champion continuous improvement of tools, methodology, and processes. Your role is all about ensuring alignment across key stakeholders—including Pilot and Cabin Crew Management, Crew Training, Recruitment, Industrial Relations, and Finance—while proactively tackling emerging challenges to keep our plans on track.
What Your Day Will Look Like:
1. Lead & Develop – Manage the Establishment Planning team, supporting their growth and engagement.
2. Strategic Workforce Planning – Oversee five year planning for crew establishment, ensuring training capacity meets demand.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with senior leaders to ensure planning assumptions align with business goals.
4. Operational Efficiency – Develop solutions that maximise crew productivity while delivering easyJet’s five-year commercial plan.
5. Governance & Process Improvement – Ensure robust validation of planning assumptions and drive continuous enhancements.
6. Data-Driven Decision Making – Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and evolve forecasts based on changing assumptions.
7. Technology & Tooling – Own and enhance data modelling tools to improve forecasting accuracy.
8. Cross-Functional Alignment – Partner with Finance, HR, and Industrial Relations to optimise crew modelling and contracting.
9. Agility & Resilience – Adapt plans to evolving business needs while ensuring delivery remains robust.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
1. A degree in mathematics, analytics, or a related field.
2. Leadership experience in a large, complex organisation, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
3. Proven ability to balance strategic, operational, and commercial priorities.
4. Advanced skills in MS Excel and experience working with databases (e.g., MS SQL) for data extraction and modelling.
5. Strong analytical mindset with a track record of financial budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement.
6. Experience working in a highly numerical, problem-solving environment, ideally within crew planning, scheduling, or workforce management.
7. Understanding of flight time limitations and crew resourcing dynamics.
8. Excellent communication skills—able to present complex data in a clear and engaging way to senior stakeholders.
9. A resilient, adaptable approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
10. A strategic mindset—always looking for ways to improve long-term efficiency and effectiveness.

Location & Hours of Work
This role is full time and hybrid where we spend 60% of our time together as a team at our head office at Luton Airport.
