Job Title: Export - Official Veterinarian
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (D.O.E.)
Location: Shires Vets Farm, Staffordshire
Job Type: Permanent, full time and part-time applications welcomed
Hours: Flexible weekly hours to suit (8-40 hrs per week) between 9am - 5pm, on the odd occasion overtime may be required
We have a fantastic opportunity for a driven and experienced OV to join Shires Vets in Staffordshire.
We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, and driven OV who is looking for the next step in their career and relishes a new challenge. The position is to join a team of farm and equine vets, ATTS, and lay staff as we strive to improve and develop the service we offer to our large loyal following of farmers.
Experience Required:
* Membership of RCVS.
* OCQ(V) - ES (Essential Skills), EX (Exports General) & PX (Products Exports) qualifications
* Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on delivering ethical customer care under scrutiny.
* A great team player who is both reliable and flexible
* Driving license

About us
Shires Vets Farm is located in the picturesque Staffordshire market town of Eccleshall and has been part of the local community for over 80 years. Starting with just a couple of visionary veterinarians, the practice has grown to include 20 vets with separate Farm, Equine and Small Animal departments. We operate throughout Staffordshire and parts of Cheshire and Shropshire.
Highly equipped site with all the usual toys including interherd plus fertility software, TB master, rectal scanners, Bull and Ram fertility testing kit, automatic faecal egg counter, in-house lab for basic bloods and colostrum testing, farm animal offices, pharmacy, and farm animal health shop.
We are often involved within our local community including sponsoring local events such as the Staffordshire County Show, client and family quiz nights, and the Staffordshire Christmas tractor run.
