Maintenance Engineer
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days and nights
Role Purpose
The Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician will ensure high-quality, scheduled, and reactive maintenance across the site. The focus includes diagnosing root causes of issues, quickly restoring equipment to service, and identifying cost-effective solutions to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability. You would be working in a plastic environment, so a plastic or packaging background would be ideal for this role although it's not essential.

Key Responsibilities
* Maintenance & Repairs:
o Perform planned, condition-based, and corrective maintenance.
o Ensure swift and accurate fault diagnosis and equipment restoration.
* Technical Skills & Competence:
o Work with electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.
o Demonstrate strong electrical skills and sound mechanical diagnostic and replacement abilities.
o Apply basic automation skills for fault-finding.
* Continuous Improvement:
o Identify and implement asset and equipment improvements.
o Contribute to Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualifications:
o Recognized apprenticeship completion.
o Preferred: Electrical or Mechanical qualification (with additional electrical competence).
o Relevant certifications (ONC/HNC, IOSH/NEBOSH desirable).
* Skills & Experience:
o Maintenance experience within manufacturing environments.
o Familiarity with automation and continuous improvement tools/techniques is advantageous.
