Our client is a global property & real estate organisation, working across both commercial and residential sectors. They have a requirement for a Senior Engineering Manager to be based at a high-profile new development near Oxford. The development includes commercial office space, residential areas, retail outlets, and R&D Labs with a science/pharmaceutical focus, closely tied to the University.
The Senior Engineering Manager will oversee the development from construction stage through fit-out and handover at Practical Completion. They will witness the commissioning of M&E systems and manage handovers to various tenants and stakeholders. This role offers a rare opportunity to be involved from the inception of the development. Coordinating with construction and projects teams will be vital, providing technical support and overseeing building plans.
This role will be the technical services lead for all functions and services within the development. The Senior Engineering Manager will act as an expert in various engineering and technical disciplines and as a technical ambassador for the development, its occupiers, and customers.
With a guideline salary of up to £85,000 and a generous benefits package including bonus and healthcare, candidates with experience in critical environments like healthcare/pharmaceutical/production sites are preferred. The successful candidate will manage systems and procedures for Mechanical, Electrical, VT, Public Health, and IT Infrastructure Services and Energy performance across the development, protecting and enhancing the landlord's assets.
This client and customer-facing role will also involve active participation in managing Health, Safety, and Wellbeing for all users of the Estate. Reporting to the Estate Director and collaborating with the property and facilities team, the Senior Engineering Manager will provide technical direction, leadership, and operational planning, ensuring world-class service delivery.
Candidates must be fully qualified in an engineering discipline (mechanical/electrical) and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Engineering Management role or as a hard-services Account Manager/Director in the facilities & maintenance sector.
