We have a brand-new opportunity available for a Environments and Release Manager to join our Technology & Transformation team in Nottingham!
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that development and testing environments are properly set up and maintained, and that software releases are planned and executed smoothly and safely.

Here’s a taste of what you will be doing as an Environments and Release Manager at Nottingham Building Society: -
1. Set up, configure, and maintain environments (development, testing, staging, production) based on business requirements and ensure they are equipped with necessary resources.
2. Monitor environment performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage environment usage throughout the development lifecycle.
3. Maintain consistent environment configurations across teams, handling environment-specific settings and dependencies.
4. Identify and mitigate potential risks related to environments and releases, ensuring smooth transitions between development, testing, and production.
5. Coordinate and manage software release schedules and deployments, aligning with project timelines and stakeholder expectations.
6. Drive automation initiatives to improve release management and environment provisioning, while ensuring adherence to regulations and internal policies.
About you: -
7. Experience of managing multiple environments and coordinating complex releases.
8. Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and ITIL processes.
9. Qualification in Prince 2, Agile or other relevant methodologies are a plus.
10. Strong experience in risk and change management.
11. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
12. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
