Young Persons Development Worker
Duration: Fixed term until 30 September 2025
Location: Dumfries with travel across Dumfries and Galloway required
Work Pattern: 35 hours per week with weekend work required on a rota basis
Salary: DGHP AP3 (23-26) (£28,128-£30,818) per annum

About the role
The role has a focus on providing housing support to people who are living in our Young Persons Project.
The development worker is also responsible for occupancy management, which includes occupancy sign-ups and supporting residents to adhere to the terms of occupancy.
The support provided by the Young Persons Development Worker is designed around the presenting and changing needs of the young person, in anticipation of them moving to their own permanent tenancy.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar support environment and have a sound understanding of the Health and Social Care Standards.

The successful candidate will be required to join the PVG membership scheme, register with SSSC and hold a driving licence with use of a car.
