Service Transformation Officer- Band 6 - Fixed Term until November 2025 (Secondment / Development Opportunity) - INTERNAL ONLY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Transformation Officer to join our very busy, innovative and expanding transformation team. With a focus on our trust priorities, and with guidance and support from the team, you will work autonomously on a portfolio of initiatives, managing your own time and workload.
This post provides a "Development Opportunity" to support the development of knowledge & skills to facilitate future career progression. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously with a portfolio of initiatives, managing their own time and workload with guidance and supervision from peers as and when required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
* Work with colleagues in the team to support the planning and delivery of work programmes focused on our strategic priorities, with a leading role in specific initiative.
* Work with a range of stakeholders and teams, advocating a quality improvement approach in order to drive continuous improvement and transformational change.
* Use quality improvement methodology from concept through to operational delivery, developing clear plans, analysing data and using robust evidence to demonstrate the effectiveness of improvement.
* Develop strong collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of transformation/improvement and/or redesign programmes.
* Prepare, manage and facilitate meetings/workshops, with an expectation of delivering presentations to varied forums.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Degree level or equivalent experience
* Extensive experience working in the NHS
* Evidence of continued professional (including change management) development/postgraduate training
* Experienced in using MS software
Knowledge
* Specialist knowledge of quality improvement methodology, tools and techniques.
* Working knowledge and understanding of the NHS Models for Improvement.
* Good understanding of NHS and relevant Local Authority structures from managerial and clinical perspective
* Ability to manage multiple/diverse complex tasks requiring analytical and problem-solving skills across multiple agencies (both public, private, third sector and voluntary sector)
* Good, demonstrable understanding of local and national policy, with a view to interpreting for delivery
* Specific knowledge relating to Lean and leadership for change.
* Awareness of Appreciative Inquiry and solution-based methodology.
Experience
* Extensive experience of working in the NHS in a leadership capacity
* Demonstrated experience of coordinating projects/initiatives in complex and challenging environments
* Proven application of project/service improvement tools and techniques to improve health services
* Good track record of internal and external partnership working, across a wide health and social care system
* Risk appraisal and management of risk
* Proven experience of creating opportunities through partnership working
