The performance analyst will support the reporting processes across the organisation and will take a lead role in the corporate performance reporting requirements for the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Planning and Performance Team which has been formed to bring together and develop the performance agenda across ABUHB. The post holder will play a key role in driving improvement and providing insight to support the decisions that we make in line with the needs of the Health Board priorities. With a clear insight into the cause and effect of change to inform our approach to ensuring safe and efficient services that maximise our resources will ensure a stronger, fairer, safer healthcare across Gwent. Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver analytical outcomes and insight through regular and specific reporting that tells the position across the Health Board.
2. Support the development of the analytical capability for performance and transformation.
3. Work across directorates and organisations to continually develop insight gathering and translation of performance data and information.
4. Support and work across the Health Board on performance requirements.
5. Support the production of ABUHB’s key performance reporting products and the development of new performance indicators, reports, and dashboards in partnership with the DDT.
6. Work closely with the Head of Systems Planning and Performance and DDT to report progress against the delivery of Annual Plan, IMTP and escalation reporting requirements.
7. Develop strong working relationships with colleagues across all Directorates and Divisions, to monitor the impact of the organisations plans and track our progress.
8. Provide assurance, highlight any variances in performance and bring performance issues to the attention of the Head of Systems Planning and Performance.
9. Collate data from a variety of sources and communicate with performance leads and senior managers across the organisation.
10. Analyse and interpret information to ensure that all internal and external performance reports produced represent an accurate reflection of performance and meet imposed timescales.
11. Produce statistical analytical reports for stakeholders, which will require setting up and adjusting formulae.
12. Assist and deputise, where appropriate, for the Senior Performance Analyst and Head of Systems Planning and Performance.
