Requirements:
1. Good technical skills in tax (UK and international) and accounts.
2. Be responsible for tasks which could range from accounts preparation (relating to Companies, Partnerships, LLP’s and sole traders), completion of personal and partnership tax returns and computations, assisting clients with HMRC tax enquiries and other tax matters, completing P11D returns and any other special assignments and/or ad-hoc projects as required by the managers/partners.
3. Review and completion of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLP and company accounts as well as income tax, corporation tax computations, VAT Returns and EC Sales List
4. To act as primary contact for a portfolio of international clients
5. Provide tax planning and structuring advice to the firm’s UK and International clients.
6. Advise international clients on UK residence and domicile matters
7. Advice on pre-arrival tax planning opportunities, remittance of funds and distinction of clean capital including preparation of tax memorandums
8. Advise clients on the ever changing property taxes and provide property structuring advice
9. Advice in respect of the non-resident landlord scheme and attend to various related compliance
10. Provide inheritance tax advice and capital gains tax advice with an international focus
11. Advice on offshore trusts and offshore companies and their related UK tax implications
12. Advice to individuals coming to work in the UK, overseas workday relief and all related matters
13. Advice on cross border VAT queries, import/export queries
14. Liaise with practice manager on progress for all jobs and cross selling opportunities.
15. Ensure that all assignments are completed to a high standard before passing them on for manager/partner review.
16. Control cost budgets, meet reporting timetables and prepare key client reporting documents.
17. Be prepared to travel abroad for GGI conferences, meeting with the firm’s international clients and taking part in seminars and trade missions
18. Actively manage your self-development and continuing professional education.
19. Attend CPD courses or other professional courses as required by the firm.
20. Have a genuine interest in understanding your clients’ businesses with the drive to deliver exceptional client service.
21. Ensure IRIS/CCH Practice Management is kept up to date in respect of all your assignments.
22. Be able to work well both as part of a team and also unsupervised.
