Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Warehouse Operative based in Basildon. The prospective operative will work as a member of the warehouse team to successfully manage the daily demands of a busy medical distribution operation. We are looking for someone to adopt a ‘hands on’ structured and proactive approach, ensuring orders are processed through the warehouse effectively in full to and on time to the agreed customer required ship dates. Be pro-active in developing excellent warehouse processes and providing high customer service levels.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure goods received are checked to confirm condition received and accurate to purchase order.
* Following validation, goods must be booked into the MRP system accurately and subsequently safely located into the respective warehouse storage location.
* Conduct picking and packaging of planned orders in accordance with the agreed production schedule.
* Complete general warehouse system administration activities – processing invoices, pick lists, despatch notes.
* Complete regular part stock checks to maintain high levels of stock accuracy.
* Ensure that all business processes are managed in accordance with company procedures and the respective compliance regulations.
* Engage with other team members to participate in industry specific training to ensure all have a thorough knowledge of the technical requirements of the medical industry.
* Adopt a ‘no surprises’ approach to reporting and communication with the Warehouse Manager.
* Responsible for abiding by the company rules pertaining to your employment.
* Responsible for abiding by the company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment manual and any supplementary memos and rules pertaining to your employment.
* Responsible for managing warehouse related business processes in accordance with company procedures and the respective compliance regulations.
* Responsible for participating in team training, and continuing development as appropriate.
* To assist, where appropriate, with addressing the training needs of colleagues.
* Carry out any other reasonable duties deemed appropriate and commensurate with the post.
