The Team:
The Emergency Department team at Launceston General Hospital (LGH), as part of the Department of Health Tasmania, consists of highly skilled emergency physicians, nurses, paramedics, and support staff who collaborate to provide urgent and life-saving care to the community. The team utilises advanced medical protocols to assess, stabilise, and treat patients with acute conditions, ranging from trauma to medical emergencies. Working closely with other departments and community health services, they ensure timely escalation and transfer of critical patients to appropriate care levels. Through their commitment to rapid response and high-quality care, the team plays a crucial role in safeguarding the health and well-being of Tasmanians.
The Role:
* Maintain a safe ED environment, manage incidents, and assist in safety and security responses.
* Support patient transport, manual handling, and care under clinical direction.
* Monitor equipment, follow hospital policies, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Details of Appointment:
Permanent, part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date.
Salary: $67,193 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
