Purpose of the Role As the Sales Manager, you will enable us to dominate the enterprise AI space by building a world-class sales team within a given vertical. The Role We’re looking for someone who can join our sales leadership team and lead one of the growing UK sales teams to success. This involves strategising with commercial managers on individual opportunities from discovery through close; building a high-performance environment where people enjoy working and regularly exceed targets; and coaching commercial managers to unblock, de-risk and accelerate opportunities. We spend our time talking with senior executives about how AI and machine learning can give them a competitive edge by solving complex problems within their businesses. An understanding of advanced analytics, machine learning and AI is a plus, but a passion for helping customers improve their businesses is a must. Reporting to the EMEA Sales Director, this role is a senior hire within the EMEA sales organisation and will play a pivotal role in contributing to our ongoing growth. Working with world class sales professionals, you will be responsible for quickly ramping up new commercial managers, coaching the team to success and delivering a consistent revenue contribution. You’ll be part of a close commercial team working with world class professionals in the fields of data science and AI and will be a key contributor to shaping the overall commercial strategy. Key Responsibilities Zooming in (to work in a rep’s world) and back out to see the bigger picture of how things are going more broadly on your team Supporting reps on a day-to-day basis on customer facing calls, both as a coach and as a facilitator to progress the sale Regularly meeting with, talking to and actively problem-solving with the reps on your team Unblocking and accelerating sales cycles by ensuring your team have the resource and support they need Reviewing proposals and presentations to ensure we are in the best possible position to win Effectively coaching and training your team members to ensure they continue to grow professionally Ensuring the team keep accurate records and forecasts on Salesforce and other key systems Providing accurate and timely sales forecasts to the EMEA Sales Director Consistent achievement of revenue growth targets Personal Skills Open - positive and a great communicator, you’ll be comfortable having challenging conversations, both with your team and with customers. Required Experience Background in selling business outcomes / value and new concepts to large enterprises Demonstrable track record of successful enterprise sales management and achievement of challenging sales targets Well trained in customer-centric selling methodologies (MEDDPICC, SPIN, value-based selling, Challenger, etc), as well as building urgency into sales cycles Proven ability to coach others to close deals regularly within mid-sized and large enterprises Experience in Identifying, recruiting and hiring world-class sales talent A passion for training, coaching and mentoring others An understanding and appreciation of the AI and data marketplace and industry trends Working in an early stage business where self-discovery and motivation are required Background in/exposure to CPG would be beneficial
