You will be expected to be technically excellent and have a broad range and experience of commercial surveying including Technical Due Diligence (TDD), Condition Surveys, Contract Administration / Project Management, Dilapidations, and Party Wall Matters. Additionally, you should be able to manage both single and multiple asset instructions.
The job involves a mixed workload with often the need to balance different instructions simultaneously.
You will primarily focus on service delivery, often working as part of a larger team, supporting to achieve exceptional outcomes for clients. You should be confident in dealing directly with clients.
You will need to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and ensure that time expended aligns with the cost forecast to ensure profitability of instructions.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing TDD advice and reporting to identify risks, their severity, quantification, and mitigation recommendations.
2. Achieving maximum value for clients with a clear understanding of risk.
3. Managing technical due diligence, project management, contract administration, dilapidations, and party wall services across various building types, mainly commercial.
4. Handling a high level of responsibility, with opportunities for managerial and technical development.
5. Managing risk in service delivery and contributing to improvement initiatives.
6. Driving organic revenue growth and implementing the business plan for commercial building surveying.
7. Undertaking professional technical consultancy including technical due diligence, dilapidations, condition surveys, and party wall work.
8. Communicating effectively to ensure project success.
9. Coordinating with project managers and team leaders for financial control.
10. Representing the company professionally.
11. Providing regular updates on contract progress to the Sector Director.
12. Mentoring and supervising junior surveyors.
