Senior Test Engineer A leading engineering company is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and conducting advanced testing programmes for composite materials and pipe systems. You will oversee the development of testing techniques, manage third-party test facilities, and ensure all testing meets industry standards. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Test Engineer Include: Oversee and execute both short- and long-term testing programmes for composite pipe systems. Work with suppliers and external test facilities to coordinate testing activities efficiently. Develop and refine testing processes, ensuring they provide accurate insights into material performance. Analyse test data and produce detailed reports to support engineering and product development teams. Lead and mentor junior engineers within the test team, fostering technical growth and best practices. Support business development efforts by advising on test methodologies for new applications. Ensure all test activities follow health and safety regulations and quality standards. What We’re Looking For: A degree (BSc, MSc, or Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. A minimum of 4 years of industry experience in testing, materials analysis, or mechanical systems. Expertise in testing methodologies for composite materials and structural systems (desirable). Strong understanding of instrumentation, data collection, and strain measurement techniques. Experience using CAD software (such as SolidWorks) for test design and analysis. Knowledge of data analysis tools such as Excel or other processing software (preferred). Experience in subsea or high-performance material testing (desirable).
