Rochdale Sixth Form College (RSFC) opened in 2010 to address the significant underachievement in A Level performance in the borough. Since then it has raised achievement in the area dramatically and is recognised nationally as a centre of excellence. The college is rated Ofsted outstanding and, is consistently ranked as one of the highest performing colleges in the country according to the DfE's performance tables and national achievement rate tables.
The department was part of the recent OFSTED inspection, and it was recognised that what we do is truly exceptional. The department and college invest in staff development with our practice rooted in educational research. Results are consistently among the very best in the country; last year the department achieved an ALPS 1, with 93% of students achieving A*-B at A-level. The department has consistently achieved at least ALPS 2 since 2017.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across level 3 qualifications in business. The cohort for the A-level provision is approximately 300 students across year 12 and year 13, with a further 108 students completing level 3 BTEC awards. For further details please see .
