Why this job matters
The Commercial Manager is responsible for creating, managing and analysis of the cost model associated with all strategic 3rd party vendor spend with vendors in Network Services. Understanding the technical requirements and volumes to create models that can be used to compare vendor responses. Responsible for collating all vendor commercial and pricing responses during RFIs, RFP’s to ensure the best commercial outcomes ahead of contract award. The role ensures our customers receive best in class services whilst ensuring BT group gets the best values for money.
What you’ll be doing
* Working with technical teams to understand requirements and volumes that will drive the commercial engagement.
* Accountable for commercial analysis supporting strategic selection of network vendors for BT’s estate.
* Creates authoritative financial models to compare vendors, interfacing with vendor sales teams to analyse and compare RFP responses.
* Able to interpret and digest complex and conflicting information to provide a financial comparison which optimises BT’s position.
* Leads engagement with vendors on clarification of commercial submissions.
What you'll bring
MANDATORY
* Detailed knowledge of vendor pricing strategies and commercial approaches.
* Expert cost modelling expertise able to create comparison of complex and dissimilar data.
* Broad cross industry knowledge of network domain.
* Proficient in MS Excel.
* Data Analysis.
* Relationship Building.
NICE TO HAVE
* Familiarity with SAP and ARIBA.
