Family Liaison Officer Cambian Potterspury Lodge School – Towcester £25,000.00 Per Year Cambian Benefits 37.5 hours per week, Term Time Only The School Cambian Potterspury Lodge School supports and educates students with Autism and other associated challenges within the autistic spectrum, offering pupils aged 8–18 a differentiated, engaging and challenging curriculum. Our school offers up to 52-week residential provision and also provides day-student placements. JOB DESCRIPTION The Family Liaison Officer will work collaboratively with families, children, and the school to provide early intervention, signposting, support and guidance. They will have strong links to other professionals and outside agencies and form positive working relationships with families to enable effective support for pupils and their families. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following list is not exhaustive but the post holder’s principal responsibilities are: To empower parents/carers to support their children and meet their needs To improve educational attendance of children resulting in enhanced life-chances To facilitate early intervention to avoid escalation of issues To build up knowledge and understanding of local resources and community and statutory services, including Mental Health Teams, Social Services, Health, CAMHS, Schools and voluntary services, and communicate effectively with them in the best interests of the child and family To offer emotional and practical support to children and their families both individually and in groups, particularly focusing on parenting skills as well as providing support with form filling, referrals, and entitlements
