An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Facilities and Logistics Assistant based at Force Headquarters, Sutton Road. This role includes working as part of a team that provides a full range of facilities services including the following:
1. Preventative maintenance and minor repairs
2. Office moves
3. Painting and decorating
4. Meeting room set-ups
5. Security and escorting
6. Driving and vehicle maintenance
7. Collecting CSI exhibits
8. General postal duties on a rota basis around the county
9. Cleaning
10. Front counter reception cover
Please note that this post is focused on the driving responsibilities of the team and in particular, the postal driving duties.
You must be self-motivated with a flexible approach. A simple shift system ensures that the office is staffed during core working hours (0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday), allowing service calls to be actioned in a timely manner, therefore maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction. Work will be administered through a variety of channels including bespoke computer programs, and the use of office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Service Manager HornBill, and Outlook will be part of daily duties.
Experience in a similar role would be advantageous; however, due to the variety of customer calls, no two days are the same. Therefore, a proactive, can-do attitude offering common sense and clear thinking is a must.
The post requires some lifting duties; therefore, you will need to ensure that you are able to perform these tasks. A general knowledge and awareness of Health & Safety policies would be desirable; however, training would be given.

2. Knowledge of Health and Safety and manual handling techniques in the workplace
3. Evidence of excellent communication skills
4. Working knowledge of IT and MS Office applications
5. Flexibility in core working hours and geographical location

This role is based at the Force Headquarters, Sutton Road. However, you will be working as part of a wider team that provides facilities services countywide; therefore, it is essential that you hold a Full UK driving license to enable you to visit your team at different locations and support the wider facilities team when required.
