ABC Teachers are looking for a Nursery Nurse to support in one of our partnered nurseries in Tamworth.
As a Nursery Teaching Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the nursery team in the daily care and education of our children.
The children you will be working with will range from babies to 5 years of age and the hours will be 8:30 - 15:30, 5 days a week.
The role is permanent, looking to start immediately. Due to the ratios in the nursery, you will be required to hold a Level 3 in childcare.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting in the planning and implementation of activities that promote the development of children.
* Supporting the lead teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.
* Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Helping with the preparation and maintenance of learning materials and resources.
* Ensuring the nursery's policies and procedures are followed at all times.
* Assisting with the personal care of children, including toileting, feeding, and dressing.
* Observing and recording children's progress and communicating this to the lead teacher.
* Participating in regular team meetings and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
* A genuine passion for working with young children and helping them to thrive.
* Previous experience in a similar role or a desire to start a career in early childhood education.
* A relevant level 3 childcare qualification (e.g., CACHE 3) is essential.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Patience, creativity, and a caring nature.
* Have or be willing to obtain a DBS on the update service.
