Band 7 Senior Practitioner- Safeguarding Adults
This is an exciting time to join our safeguarding team, we work trust wide supporting practitioners working with safeguarding adults. The post holder will be responsible for supporting practitioners in an identified locality, in addition to supporting safeguarding colleagues Trust wide.

We are seeking people with a passion for safeguarding for the following roles:
Senior Practitioners for Safeguarding Adults (band 7)
You will have a proven track record in safeguarding and be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge and skills relevant to safeguarding and able to apply the relevant legal framework. A Professional Qualification in health and social care is essential.
You will be operating as a lead practitioner for safeguarding within a defined geographical area and will have a thematic trust wide lead for a specific area of safeguarding practice, e.g., modern slavery or self-neglect.
Main duties of the job
1. Working Trust wide supporting AWP practitioners with management of safeguarding concerns affecting their service users.
2. Taking the lead for safeguarding arrangements in the locality including completing multi-agency audits and writing IMRs for safeguarding adult reviews.
3. Support practitioners with safeguarding meetings and multi-agency strategy discussions.
4. Safeguarding team provide support in relation to: safeguarding adults, safeguarding children, domestic abuse, MAPPA and PREVENT.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse
Experience
* Advanced/expert understanding/application of relevant practice/standards/audit in relation to Safeguarding Children
* Substantial clinical experience in a specialist safeguarding children role
* Management experience in a specialist safeguarding children role
Knowledge
* Detailed and up-to-date knowledge of policies, statutory regulations and guidance relating to Safeguarding- Vulnerable people especially children and young adults and a working knowledge of guidance relating to Safeguarding Adults at risk.
