The Bid Writer will be responsible for creating and managing the content and submission of bids for new opportunities and re-tenders from pre-qualification through to contract award. As a Bid Writer, you will work collaboratively alongside the Bid and Marketing Manager to ensure correct commercial decisions are made, communicating information across the team and wider Highbourne Group. You'll help create relevant, engaging and innovative bid submissions within our Integrated Solutions team. The Bid Writer will use their experience within the tender production process and creative skills to ensure that the company is perceived as a quality solutions provider and the number one choice for its existing and prospective customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Creative and innovative writing in respect to the format and content of bids, applying correct use of graphics as required.
* Ability to turn technical requirements into narrative responses, focusing on proposition and USP.
* Manage submissions through supporting relevant stakeholders in order to design and produce the bid documentation to meet client needs.
* Ensure good links with key head office departments to deliver effective and current answers to questions in bids.
* Support the ongoing development of a Bid Library.
* Embrace continuous improvement activities, such as capturing and contributing to lessons learned and bid submission reviews.
This is a hybrid-based opportunity with true flexibility to work from home, but you should be happy to attend our offices in Crick, Northamptonshire when required (Occasional).

Minimum Requirements:
* APMP Foundation or above certification would be beneficial although not a pre-requisite.
* Strong demonstrable track record of writing content for winning bids.
* Experience of working in a busy bid writing environment, under pressure with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders' needs and demands on time.
* Ideally, some experience working in public sector bidding.
* Compelling writing skills, complete with a high standard of spelling and grammar.
* Ability to interpret complex documents.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to write creative and concise tender responses.
* Able to manage competing deadlines and priorities confidently.
* Organised and self-motivated to produce high-quality results.
* Ability to create graphics.
