Role De Montfort University is seeking an EDI Data, Strategy, and Governance Lead to drive the university’s commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives. This pivotal role involves leading the development, analysis, and reporting of EDI-related data, providing expert advice on EDI governance and strategy. The EDI Data, Strategy, and Governance Lead will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including staff networks, student officers, and senior management, ensuring DMU's compliance with UK EDI legislation. The successful candidate will play an essential role in promoting an equitable and inclusive learning and working environment by overseeing the implementation of various strategic EDI projects, such as Decolonising De Montfort University and No Space for Hate. A key aspect of the role includes managing and reporting on EDI data, coordinating governance activities, and supporting the Head of EDI to meet key performance targets. The postholder will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of high-quality data analysis, dashboards, and reports, which will be used to assess progress and guide decision-making. Furthermore, they will be responsible for facilitating EDI governance meetings, managing related documentation, and delivering impactful EDI training and initiatives across DMU. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be an expert in EDI data, governance, and strategy, capable of analysing and managing complex datasets to drive informed decision-making. They will be responsible for overseeing EDI-related data collection, interpretation, and reporting to ensure the university meets its strategic EDI objectives. Collaborating closely with senior leaders, staff networks, student officers, and EDI champions, the candidate will lead multiple EDI projects, providing expert guidance and support to enhance the university's commitment to being an equitable, accessible, and inclusive institution. The role involves overseeing EDI governance frameworks and committee activities, coordinating and managing meetings, agendas, and reports. The successful candidate will design and facilitate EDI training programs for staff and students and provide expert advice on equality legislation, ensuring compliance with the Equality Act 2010.
