The role is office based. As a Financial Accounts Assistant, you will be working Monday to Friday 08.30 -17.00. What will you be doing as a Financial Accounts Assistant at Avara? As a Financial Accounts Assistant, you’ll assist the Financial Accountant in preparing accurate VAT/government returns, balance sheet reconciliations and reports for the statutory entities within the Avara Foods Holdings Group. What will your key responsibilities as a Financial Accounts Assistant include? Responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ERP period close processes, control account reconciliations and currency revaluations. Reconciliation of month end intercompany balances. Prepare monthly UK, French, Spanish and Dutch VAT and European tax submissions. Reconciliation of Statutory turnover to monthly VAT Return submission turnover. Monthly reconciliations and releases from group balance sheet accounts, e.g. overriding discounts, insurance, prepayments Preparation and submission of annual group PAYE settlement liability. Maintain and submit relevant compliance forms for Government Climate Change Agreements. Preparation and submission of Government statistical returns. Preparation of audit analysis and other year-end schedules. Goods received note balance sheet account reconciliation and clear down. Other ad hoc financial accounts tasks as per the business need. What you’ll need to be successful: ACA, ACCA or CIMA Part Qualified. A good knowledge of accounting principles, including double entry. Understanding of VAT principles. Excellent numerical ability. Experience of reconciliation work. Accurate and pays attention to detail. Conversant and comfortable with information technology inc. integrated ERP systems, systems design and implementation.
