Job Description Our client has developed an exciting product portfolio and provides sustainable fluid management solutions to asset owners all over the globe to improve and optimise their maintenance & reliability operations. To support their global customer base in marine, power generation, industrial and offshore applications they are looking for a suitable candidate to join their team in Edinburgh as a Technologist. This is a very technical role and the preferred candidate should have a good understanding of chemistry and spectroscopy and should not be afraid of data or customers. Main Responsibilities To support the development of new sensor applications on lubricants and fluids. Running experiments on systems and third-party sensors in a laboratory setting. Working with proprietary Software to generate chemometric models and optimise current sensor models. Support product roadmap development with application driven product improvements. Your profile Experience in Mid-Infrared spectroscopy and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) is a requirement. Experience in chemometrics is a requirement. Experience in handling chemicals, fluids and oils in a laboratory setting. Advantageous to have a good understanding of lubricants. Advantageous to have a good understanding of infrared sensors or systems.
