Work Details:

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the team with diverse accounting tasks, including:
* Preparing annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
* Preparing and filing personal and company tax returns.
* Handling VAT returns, payroll, and compliance-related activities.
* Liaising with clients and HMRC, gathering financial information, and offering support where needed.
* Staying informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations.
* Ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and best practices.
* Assisting with other general accounting tasks to support the practice’s operations.
What you’ll bring to the role:
* Qualifications: Part-qualified OR actively working towards an accounting qualification.
* Experience: 2–3 years of experience in an accountancy practice environment.
* Proficiency in accounting and taxation software.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Strong organisational and interpersonal abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
