At MDE Installations we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing electrical maintenance operations at our esteemed client, Dupont.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise a small team of electrical maintenance employees, ensuring efficient and effective execution of maintenance tasks.
* Support and assist in electrical maintenance tasks.
* Management of employee attendance and performance.
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs in consultation with the client to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential electrical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Implement and adhere to the company safety culture to the highest standard.
* Coordinate with the client's management team to prioritise maintenance activities and address any urgent requirements.
* Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment, diagnosing faults and implementing appropriate corrective measures.
* Collaborate with the procurement department to ensure the availability of necessary electrical supplies and spare parts.
* Completion of job cost trackers and reporting to the management team.
* Continuous engagement with the Management Team.
* Support and implement HR strategies, initiatives and policies to align with the company culture.
* Engagement with the client on potential additional projects.
* Implementation of company initiatives, systems and policies.
* Train and mentor maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
* Price electrical projects and submit costings to MDE Management for review. Once approved, then submit to Client.
* Develop and win new business opportunities within DuPont to create sustainable, long term employment for the team.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and codes/regulations.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical faults and implementing corrective actions.
* Familiarity with preventive maintenance strategies and tools.
* Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal stakeholders.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring safety standards are met.
* Confidence in use of IT systems and applications.
* Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work.
* The ability to work on own initiative.
