The trading areas will be refurbished and redecorated throughout, in line with the premium local feel of the rest of the pub. The bar servery will be upgraded significantly, with new equipment and a new look and feel. The kitchen will be refurbished to ensure the pub can meet expected increase in demand. The pub exterior, lighting and signage will be refreshed to position it as an attractive premium pub as well as a destination dining venue. The transformation will enhance site visibility, highlight the pub’s offering and complement the new look of the interior. Applicants should be aware that all refurbishments are subject to final board approval which will be determined as part of the leasing process. Where a significant investment is made in a pub by Star Pubs & Bars, an "Investment Exemption" will be required. The exemption means that the option of a Market Rent Option lease won't be available at rent review for a period of up to seven years for this site, as per The Pub Code (2016).
