Email & Retention Marketing Manager
Gutology is a fast-growing D2C brand, redefining the microbiome-friendly consumer market. Our science-backed consumables empower individuals to make daily choices that support their microbiome, not deplete it.
We’re looking for an Email & Retention Marketing Manager to own the full customer lifecycle — from welcome to win-back — and help us increase LTV, retention, and community engagement. This is a high-impact role at the heart of our next phase of growth.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Own Klaviyo (or equivalent) end-to-end — flows, campaigns, testing, reporting.
* Design and implement automated journeys across customer lifecycle: welcome, post-purchase, replenishment, win-back, abandoned cart/browse, subscription, education.
* Collaborate with content/creative to design on-brand, conversion-focused emails.
* Build and test segmentation strategies to personalise emails based on behaviour, product, and persona.
* Integrate email with SMS, loyalty, referral, and review platforms.
* Collaborate on education-based series (e.g., “gut health journeys,” oral biome tips).
* Support cross-selling initiatives using first-party data.
* Monitor and improve deliverability and inbox placement.
Nice-to-Have (or Develop into):
* Own SMS marketing (e.g. Postscript, Attentive)
* Set up or optimise subscriptions and reorder flows.
* Collaborate with our testing and R&D teams to build email-first feedback loops.
* Build customer feedback surveys (e.g. post-purchase NPS, quiz funnels) to fuel retention insights.
* Experience working with Shopify Plus, Segment, or similar data layers.
* Build dashboards/reporting on cohort retention, LTV by product, and email ROI.
* Knowledge of RFM analysis and customer segmentation models.
