You'll join a forward thinking, vibrant and welcoming Health Visiting team with bases at Whitley Health Clinic & Southcote Clinic. Our team is made up of Health Visitors, Staff Nurses and Nursery Nurses delivering health and development services to children aged 0-5 and their families in the Reading area. We are looking for strong team players who have a real passion for working with children and families. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with other teams and agencies. The service operates 9 - 5 Monday to Friday and we welcome full time and part time applications. This is a client facing role but with some room for home working based on service need. Assessing child and family needs, using the appropriate assessment and risk tools. Ensuring that at each contact with a child an assessment of their health and development need is conducted. To support breastfeeding and parent infant relationships applying the Unicef UK Baby Friendly Initiative standards Ensure that the advice, support and services provided take account of client or family's race, culture, religion and language Full knowledge and understanding of the Local Safeguarding Board Procedures together with Trust guidelines.
