If so, we’d love to hear from you About the Role We are seeking an Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in local schools across the Cardiff and Penarth area. Your role will involve supporting pupils with additional needs to ensure they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and group support for children with SEN. Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities. Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment. Help with classroom management and behavior support strategies. Maintain accurate records of progress and report to teaching staff and parents as needed. Essential Requirements Proven experience working with children with SEN in a school setting. Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills. Ability to adapt to different needs and work collaboratively with teaching staff. A clear understanding of safeguarding procedures. Desirable Qualifications Relevant teaching assistant or SEN qualifications (e.g., CACHE, Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning). First aid training or other relevant certifications.
