Now positioned for rapid expansion, the company is focused on strengthening its UK supply base and driving strategic procurement practices across the board. The Role As Senior Buyer, you’ll report directly to the Head of Global Supply Chain and act as a key contributor to both strategic and operational initiatives. You will take ownership of supplier transitions, contract management, and cost-saving activities, while also playing a leadership role within the procurement team. Key Responsibilities: Lead the transition of existing supply chains to UK-based suppliers, ensuring effective onboarding, contract management, KPI tracking, and supplier improvement initiatives. Partner with R&D to support the integration of new products, contributing to sourcing strategies that align with innovation and time-to-market goals. Drive category management planning and execution across assigned areas. Provide mentorship to procurement team members and act as deputy in the absence of the Head of Global Supply Chain. Ensure accurate, up-to-date procurement data within the SAP system. Conduct supplier meetings, including international visits where required, to ensure performance and alignment with business objectives. Work collaboratively to achieve annual cost avoidance targets. About You You are an experienced procurement professional with strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to supplier management. You thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy balancing tactical procurement duties with strategic planning. Requirements: 3–5 years’ experience in a procurement role within a manufacturing environment. Proven experience in supporting New Product Development (NPD) processes. Demonstrated success in strategic procurement, including the creation and execution of category management plans. Previous exposure to international suppliers and global sourcing strategies. Experience within an electronics manufacturing environment is highly desirable. Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
