Job Description
The Accounts Assistant is part of the finance team responsible for financial controls, reconciliations and statutory reporting across a number of entities based in the RSR Head Office located in Northampton.
Main duties:
1. Ensuring timely and accurate bookkeeping and reconciliations for all entities
2. Keeping all bank reconciliations up to date
3. Preparing periodic cash reports
4. Preparing cash forecasts and identifying where funding is required for overseas entities
5. Supporting the statutory accounts and annual audit processes
6. Completing statutory returns
Key Relationships:
1. Accounts Payable and Commercial Finance teams
2. Line and Branch Managers
Success Measures:
1. Accurate accounts
2. Reconciliations accurately completed on time
3. Successful audit
4. No deadlines missed
Experience:
1. Experience of working in a Finance team
2. Experience of the accurate preparation of balance sheets and their reconciliation
3. Familiarity of key finance principles, legislation and standards and their application (FRS 101)
4. Strong Excel skills
5. Able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
6. Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
7. Able to produce accurate and timely information.
8. Well organised and have good attention to detail.
9. Ability to judge/prioritise tasks and manage the team's time.
