We are looking for someone with a real passion for project delivery, who has the desire and willingness to learn and grow. We are interested in applicants who have established experience in Project Management, or people who are eager to grow into a more senior role from relevant experience. This person will play a crucial role within the wider Technology team, supporting the Head of Technology Delivery & Technology Director to ensure projects are delivered in a safe, secure and governed way.
Responsibilities will include liaising and working with business stakeholders, internal Technology delivery resources & key external vendors to delivery projects effectively. This will include following established delivery methods such as Waterfall, Agile etc, keeping all documentation up to date. It will require exceptional communication to internal stakeholders across the company at all levels, whilst maintaining a solid, governed foundation. As part of the relatively new internal Technology team, the role will form a central part of both governed delivery & user enablement at Ridge helping to change the way Technology is perceived and used across the business.
A key delivery item in 2025 will be the delivery & implementation of an ERP/CRM for the business with Microsoft Dynamics 365 already selected. This will involve working with wider stakeholders in the business from initial scope conversations, design workshops, build, testing, go-live & associated business change/comms. This will be a critical programme of the work for the business to enable additional growth. Additional phases will mean this will be a multi-year complex delivery programme.
Finally, the role will work closely and in collaboration with the wider, technology team internal to Ridge, the current IT service provider, business stakeholders and end users to support and promote delivery methodology & benefits at all levels. Excellent communication skills will be critical to successfully collaborate with all stakeholders and ensure success.
What you need to do to be effective in this role
* Lead projects from initiation through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk management and mitigation
* Lead on the development of compelling business cases ensuring they deliver against the technology and process strategy to achieve the business needs
* Provide strong project governance disciplines for risks and their mitigations, budget, change control, issue management, activities, and schedules
* Analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project delivers to business functional and strategic needs
* Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
* Interpret data to understand the headline conclusions to support actionable recommendations
* Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders'
* Remain informed on trends and issues in the security industry, including emerging threats
* Create and maintain appropriate documents (policies, standards, project plan, RAID etc)
* Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects
* Ensure that project scope is clearly defined, signed up to and aligned to intended business outcomes.
* Undertake formal business closures ensuring benefits realisation and transfer into BAU support is successfully completed
* Successful coordination of internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and approved budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
* Define, align, and assign roles and responsibilities for all resources participating in project delivery ensuring clear demarcation of responsibilities and expectations are set with all project team members.
* Effectively communicate Project objectives, progress and deliverables through regular project reporting and presentations to stakeholder communities
* Ability to develop detailed project plans with competing interdependencies & resource loaded
* Ability to quickly identify and escalate, resourcing, scope, budget, or deliverable variances to plan to senior stakeholders and management with clearly defined options and mitigations
The skills and experience you need to have for this role
* Educated to Degree level within a STEM subject (preferably Computer Science) would be advantageous but not essential within this role
* Gained relevant experience within an IT / Technology role, ideally in Project Management
* Experience in delivery of ERP & CRM systems preferably Dynamics 365 but not essential
* Strong working knowledge & understanding of Project Management methodology
* Relevant accreditation such as PRINCE2 desirable, but not required
* Strong working knowledge of SaaS platforms such as Microsoft365 and ITSM tooling (Halo preferred)
* Previous exposure to IT service governance, risk, and compliance methodologies
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and non-technical stakeholders
* Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
* Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
