I am seeking a proactive and skilled Shift Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Exeter. Reporting to the Engineering Team Manager, the Shift Engineer will ensure maximum uptime and efficiency of the production plant while maintaining compliance with all mechanical, electrical, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Shift Engineer will be:
Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and swiftly react to breakdowns.
Ensure rapid return of plant to operation after downtime.
Plan and execute long-term repairs in collaboration with the Engineering Team Manager.
Perform regular maintenance of boilers and pressure systems.
Safely isolate plant systems for maintenance and support contractors as needed.
Maintain detailed maintenance records and ensure spare parts availability.
Uphold excellent housekeeping standards and comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.Requirements for this Shift Engineer position:
Mechanical and electrical qualifications.
Experience in boiler maintenance.
First aid certification.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
Excellent health & safety and COSHH awareness.
Self-motivation and a "quality first" mindset.Shifts:
4 on 4 off
4 shifts of working days, with 4 off, and then 4 shifts of nights.
48 hour week
