Job summary Pelaw Medical Practice are looking to recruit a Salaried GPs for 4 Sessions Per Week to start this Spring/Summer, with the option of future partnership. We are keen to support colleagues with development of additional clinical interests and would love to hear what skills or services you would like to bring to the practice in the future. Main duties of the job The Salaried GP Role is inline with the BMA Salaried GP Model Contract. The Practice does require support with on-call, administrative workload and homevisits. About us We are a friendly welcoming practice currently consisting of 3 Partners & 2 Salaried GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, an HCA and a team of 9 administrative staff We have a culture of working and problem solving as a team. Discussions around clinical and organisational issues are strongly encouraged, both on an ad-hoc basis and in our twice weekly practice meetings. You will always find someone in the staff room available for support, or just a chat and a hot drink. Supporting each other to maintain positive well-being and a healthy work-life balance are important aspects of our practice ethos. We currently hold a Minor Surgery Contract with Gateshead CCG. We offer this service to all Gateshead Practices. We accept referrals for Lumps & Bumps, Vasectomies, and in growing Toenails. We have GPs in house who provide this service as well as GPs who come from other local Practices. We have strong links within our East Gateshead PCN and in the past two years have worked at scale to help deliver the vaccine programme and look forward to further collaboration in future. We already have 4 Community Link Workers, a Pharmacist, a Pharmacy Technician, and a Primary Care Mental Health Worker, with other roles currently being developed.
