We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our HR team. This key role will have responsibility for delivering a comprehensive, commercially focused HR service. This broad HR Manager role is an opportunity for you to partner with some key business stakeholders as a member of our Senior Leadership Team and work on a wide range of activities such as change initiatives, talent attraction and development, inclusion and diversity, employee engagement, recruitment and business improvement initiatives.
The Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive workplace environment and ensuring the effective management of human resources within the organisation. This position is responsible for overseeing HR functions, implementing policies, and supporting the development of employees. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills and experience with various HR systems.
Reporting into the HR, Legal & Compliance Director – the role of HR Manager will represent the HR function within the whole business to ensure priorities and strategies are achieved. This role will be responsible for (not exhaustive):
* Implementing, monitoring, and adhering to HR policies, initiatives and projects within timescales to support the delivery of the Company objectives.
* Working with colleagues to deliver the business’ strategy on talent attraction, talent identification and development and succession planning.
* Leading on early careers activities, including our educational engagement activities.
* Working with stakeholders to always ensure compliance with employment law and company policies.
* Promoting and instilling a culture of consistency, equality, and fairness in our handling of employee relations matters, challenging stakeholders where appropriate.
* Providing coaching and support to Senior Leaders and Management teams, to create an enabling and engaging culture.
* Providing relevant HR KPI data, analysis, and insight.
* Driving an absence and performance management culture across the site.
* Co-ordinating the annual performance review process and other such tasks required as part of the annual HR cycle.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the overall business goals.
* Supervise and manage the HR team, ensuring efficient operations and professional development.
* Utilise Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to streamline recruitment processes.
* Conduct data analysis to inform decision-making and improve HR practices.
* Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to foster a collaborative work environment.
* Present HR initiatives and updates to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
* Manage employee relations issues, providing guidance and support as needed.
Skills
* Proficiency in HR software such as HiBob.
* Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Solid data analysis skills to interpret HR metrics and trends.
* Experience in human resources management with a comprehensive understanding of HR practices.
* Ability to present information clearly and effectively to various audiences.
The Ideal Candidate
Suitable candidates for the role will be CIPD level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience) and possess a comprehensive understanding of HR principles and practices, coupled with relevant business experience and professional development.
The role of HR Manager will suit a well organised, agile, and resilient HR professional who also has:
* Good working and practical understanding of employment law and how to deal with employee relations cases.
* Proven track record of supporting business changes such as reorganisations and TUPE transfers.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop strong relationships internally and externally.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* High integrity and ability to challenge, impact and influence others.
* Personal drive and a desire to succeed and improve.
* Ability to impact and influence (able to get acceptance of ideas through indirect influence).
* Ability to assess, measure and identify key talent and ensure they fit with key organisational drivers.
