Intensive Need Support Worker Lincoln Supported Housing 3 Months 35 hours £16.72 LTD / £14.25 PAYE (inc hol) A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Intensive Need Support Worker to join a National Charity in Lincoln. This role will involve working with young people in supported housing, providing intensive support, and empowering them to develop independent living skills. If youre passionate about working with young people and making a real difference, we want to hear from you THE ROLE As an Intensive Need Support Worker, you will be the first point of contact for young people, supporting them within a positive, empowering service. Key responsibilities include: Delivering direct support within the young person's home environment. Completing a thorough welcome process with each young person, including house rules and ongoing support structures. Creating initial safety plans based on referral paperwork and current needs, and reviewing them regularly in line with contractual requirements. Conducting needs assessments and coordinating support packages, including liaising with external agencies to meet the needs of the young person. Recording activities and behaviours within the property to ensure accurate documentation. Working creatively and enthusiastically with young people to help them acquire essential independent living skills. Responding professionally and calmly to challenging behaviour, using de-escalation techniques, and ensuring safety. THE CANDIDATE To be considered for the Intensive Need Support Worker role, candidates must have previous experience working with young people in a supported housing or similar setting. The ideal candidate will also have: Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with external agencies. Experience in safety planning and risk assessments for vulnerable individuals. Ability to manage challenging behaviour and apply de-escalation techniques effectively. A proactive approach to supporting independent living skills for young people. Experience in managing anti-social behaviour and liaising with local services as needed. THE CONTRACT 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 AM 5 PM 3-month contract, with the potential to become permanent £16.72 per hour LTD / £14.25 per hour PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay) If you know someone who might be a good fit for the role, we offer a £250 referral bonus for every successfully referred candidate
